Reigning Face of Ghana USA queen, Miss Evelyn Adiepena Ahenkan, has paid a familiarization visit to introduce herself to the Ghanaian public. The visit also forms part of her desire to undertake some charity projects to help and support the less privileged in the society. As part of her visit, Evelyn will tour the 10 regions of Ghana to promote love, peace and unity. Ms Ahenkan will also be working as the face of the pageants foundation called Positive Impact Foundation (PIF) with the aim of working with the government to establish an ultra modern psychiatric home and rehabilitation centre to help mentally challenged people. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Face of Ghana USA, Abigail Semaha said, in some few years to come we want to see ourselves putting up ultra modern psychiatric home in some African countries. We are very optimistic that the good Lord will give us the strength to do so. She added that, The Face of Ghana USA is a pageant dedicated to displaying the intellectual, culture and God-fearing Ghanaian ladies based in the United States of America. The pageant strives to give the women a platform to display their beauty, charisma, love for humanitarian work, ethnic culture, talents and the fear of God regardless of beliefs and religions. She said that last years event took place in Illinois, Chicago at the Black History Museum Hall where 20 beautiful, talented, eloquent and poised Ghanaian ladies from the 50 states of America came together to display their extraordinary gifts on one platform. The judges on the day crowned 21 year-old Ghanaian-American, who is a business administration student of Qunisagamond Community College in Worcester, Massachusetts as the winner of the pageant. Ms Ahenkan said her work as a beauty queen representing the faces of Ghanaians living abroad brought her to her motherland for the first time. She will be holding a charity ball on February 14 at the Mvenpick Ambassador Hotel to raise funds for her charity events.
