Stakeholders In Education Call For Review Of SHS Courses

Stakeholders in education have called for a review of courses offered at the Senior High School Level to correspond with those at the tertiary level. Commenting on President Mahama's statement on graduate unemployment in his 'Meet the Press� event, a former Vice Chancellor of UDS, Professor David Miller told Radio Ghana that courses offered at the Universities are demand driven hence the need to marry SHS courses and that of tertiary level to conform to the job market. In a remark, a former President of UTAG, Dr Anthony Simons was of the view that government must prioritise science and technology studies in the Universities to accommodate the high demand in that filed.
