The New Patriotic Party (NPP) might be on state economy�s warpath to ruin Ghanaian businesses. In its craze to recapture power �at all cost� and �by all means� possible, is to cripple businesses (names withheld) belonging to certain interest groups in the country. The Akufo-Addo faction of the NPP, in conjunction with some unprincipled bank managers, will soon start spreading wild rumours about huge bank accounts of the target businesses, allegedly them having links to the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the John Kufuor faction of the NPP. According to this paper�s intelligence source within the Akufo-Addo divide of the NPP, the group, as part of its modus operandi, has put in place three evil approaches in fulfillment of its agenda (to wreck certain businesses). The first approach of the aforementioned group is to cause mass disaffection for the targeted businesses, by plaiting stories of how they have amassed wealth, have millions of dollars in their various accounts and have been buying properties for leading politicians, the impeccable source revealed. The link of businesses to the NDC and the Kufuor faction of the NPP is to set up the second plan of the action � thus; to rope in Nana Akufo-Addo, portraying him as the target of attacks by the NDC and the John Kufuor faction. The analysis is that: by making Akufo-Addo a victim, those who support NPP and have any business dealings with the Kufuor faction will cut those links. The group�s final aim is to stave the target businesses of contracts. This they will do by black-listing those businesses, with aim of starving them of contracts. It believes that, even if they bid and legitimately win contracts, they would be made to suffer serious backlash in the court of public opinion, with false allegation that they had been �favoured�, the source added. It would be recalled that the NPP in its desperate attempt to come to power in 2000, had to engage in all manner of inhumane activities, even earning allegations of being the brain behind the infamous littering of streets of Ghana with dead bodies.
