Ive No Beef With Dr. Richard Anane

The Nhyiaeso Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Kofi Adjei aka Geokad has categorically debunked reports that there is enmity between him and Dr. Richard Anane, the NPP MP for the area. He cautioned those spreading the wild rumours to desist from the practice because as he put it we are not enemies. Dr. Richard Anane, according to reports, campaigned against Geokad and some of his executives at Nhyiaeso during the recent NPP primary at Nhyiaeso recently. Geokad retained his seat for the fourth conservative time after the election. Other executives that backed Geokad also won convincingly. This development is said to have created enmity between Geokad and his group and that of Dr. Anane, and the rift is said to be brewing tension in the NPP at the area. He led newly-elected NPP members at Nhyiaeso to a Thanksgiving Service at the All Saints Catholic Church at Santase/Fankyenebra on Sunday. He called on winners and losers at Nhyiaso to unite to capture power form the NDC 2016. Geokad predicted that the NPP would win the 2016 polls convincingly. The NPP chairman stated the party is poised to win massive votes during the 2016 polls to capture power from the NDC. Geokad therefore urged the NPP members to forgive each other, adding that the party needs every member of the party. As part of plans to win more votes in 2016, he said he would strengthen the polling stations executives. The 2012 polls showed that elections are won at the polling station level, Geokad said, stressing that the NPP would win the 2016 elections at the polling stations. The Nhyiaeso Constituency NPP executives, who were elected recently, attended the church service ostensibly to thank God and the congregation for their victory and the peaceful polls. The congregation prayed fervently for the newly-elected NPP executives and the NPP as a political party during the church service.
