"NPP Elements" To Strike Akufo-Addo With Sickness

The battle for the soul of the main opposition group, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for the next four years is not only getting keener, but dirtier with groups within the party said to be hatching all sorts of diabolical strategies and cruel tactics to outwit their fiercest opponents, according to Kofi Dotsi Apeatu-Ampaw. The man nicknamed Kofi 1,2,3,4 revealed that opponents of Nana Akufo-Addo are desperate, hence leaving no stone unturned to shoot down his ambition of leading the NPP in 2016 presidential elections, even at age 72. On his social media platform facebook last Saturday, Mr. Apeatu-Ampaw, one of the many cousins of Nana Addo, posted a rather scary message, putting his friends on the platform who are mainly NPP fanatics and supporters into a state of shock and disbelieve. He wrote, Eiiiiiiiii this politics is getting scaryoooo!!! Am I hearing well? NPP people plotting how to get Nana Addo sick so he cant campaign. Hmmmm!!!. Mr. Apeatu-Ampaw, who in the past strongly supported Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten against his cousin, explained that he had to put the plot in the public domain, instead of discussing it within the NPP, because Nana Addo is his blood brother, whom he had to put above politics of the NPP. His post obviously did not go down well with many supporters of the party, forcing them to question the onetime television presenter, why he will disclose such a sensitive information on a mere social media platform, instead of keeping it within the party level? Other die-hard supporters of Nana Addos fiercest rival, Mr. Kyeremanten saw the post as an attempt by Mr. Apeatu-Ampaw and others to woo sympathy votes for Nana Addo, who is preparing to touchdown in Ghana, later this month after four months of medical treatments and holidays in the United Kingdom (UK). But Kofi 1,2,3,4, later rebutted on the same platform insisting his investigations into the level of cruelty in the NPP, were very credible, therefore, he had to put such a sensitive issue in the public domain, because Nana Addo is his mothers older sisters son, who needs to be protected, warning the plotters that whatever they are planning in the dark has been brought to light. Guys my findings are true and most worrying. Nana is my blood brother (my mums older sisters son). It gets to a point where I begin to forgo politics and become family first. I think exposing this is my best way to warn the plotters to stop this foolishness.. he explained. Mr. Apeatu-Ampaw, last year, led thugs to ex-President John Kufuors residence at Airport West Residential Area in Accra, to prevent him from attending President John Mahamas inauguration. He has spent years in a US jail of narcotic related charges. Not long after he posted his second comment, then came in the Member of Parliament for (MP) Nsawam-Adoagyire, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, who also alleged that recently, he went through a similar situation describing it as worrying. The new legislator and former NPP Regional Youth Organiser for the Eastern Region, called for a collective effort to address the problem, calling it a sad development. We really have to do something about these happenings.,,, I just went through a similar experiencesits sad!, he said. This is not the first time Nana Addos camp has resorted to using such tactics against Mr. Kyeremanten in a run up to NPP presidential primaries. Recently, he was said to have been stricken by diabetes. The story later changed that he was suffering from a massive stroke, leaving him bed-ridden. In 2007, Paul Afoko, was given a hefty slap on the University of Ghana Legon campus by a macho man linked to Nana Addo, after he was accused by the then NPP National Organizer, Lord Commey of sharing dollars to NPP delegates in an attempt to buy votes for Mr. Kyeremanten. Mr Kyeremanten handed the slot to Nana Addo, by refusing to contest a runoff. In August 2010, Mr. Kyeremanten was again completely obliterated and buried by Nana Addo camp accusing him of bribing NPP supporters, who were voting at various party offices throughout the country using his agents. I.C Quaye, Shirley Ayorkor Botwey, Samuel Abu Jinapor, were very instrumental in accusing supporters of Mr. Kyeremanten of sharing money and food in the various polling stations. It took the interventions of Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, then a spokesperson of the ex-Trade and Industry Minister to kill the bribery claim against him, by which time, Nana Addo was sailing to victory as the 2012 Presidential candidate. One other person, who has issue with Mr. Kyeremanten leading the NPP as its presidential candidate is Mr. P.C. Appiah-Ofori. According to him, Mr. Kyeremanten as Minister of Trade and Industry in the John Kufuor government, could not manage an ordinary cassava farm, under the President Special Initiative (PSI), and wondered how he can become president of Ghana, with such record. Philip Langdon, a spokesperson for Mr. Kyerematen, has, however, rubbished Mr. P.C. Appiah-Ofori saying, he was involved in infantile politics, instead of talking about policies that will better the lives of Ghanaians.
