Former President J.A. Kufuor has shared his memories of the late BBC broadcaster, Komla Dumor, calling him a very social person always with a smile to share. Dumor died suddenly on Saturday of what is speculated to be cardiac arrest, and President Kufuor said news of his death �is so shocking.� �He was only 41 and looked so fit that it�s unbelievable that this thing should happen to him now and I�m sure back in Ghana there will be many who will be stopped in their tracks and wonder what is happening.� President Kufuor who is on an international tour told the BBC he knew Komla personally and at one point in his administration asked the former Joy FM anchor to serve on a board for the youth. He said Komla �was a very social person, very social, always with a smile and quite polite in society. I�m saying he was a likeable person.� Asked how he thought Komla would be remembered in Ghana, President Kufuor responded; �A bright broadcaster with great promise but who has been cut off in midstream�He had the greatest potential for anybody in his field. Really, this is a big shock and a surprise.�
