Hundreds of residents at Adjei-Kojo Promise land near Ashaiman have been rendered homeless and disorganized following a demolition exercise embarked upon by the Tema Development Corporation. An affected resident, Edwin Denoo told Radio Ghana that about 40 houses were demolished on Tuesday and several others have also been earmarked for demolition. He said the TDC is claiming ownership of the land which they lawfully bought from the Chiefs. Mr Denoo said the situation is very worrying and appealed to the TDC to halt the exercise as they negotiate the best way out. Meanwhile, the Task Force with backing from the military and the other security agencies are continuing the exercise today.
