Captain Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey (rtd), an aspiring General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) believes incumbent NPP chief scribe, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has done tremendously well for the party in the last eight years. According to him, irrespective of the fact that he is contesting Sir John, the current NPP General Secretary needs to be commended for upholding the party in high esteem. �I believe he (Sir John) has done his best for the party (NPP) from 2010 to 2014. I salute him�Now, times have changed...we are going to 2016 with a background of losing two major elections (2008 and 2012). We must strategize again to see how far we can capture election 2016. And I believe I am capable of leading the NPP as its General Secretary to win election 2016,� he added. Touting his credentials on Adom FM, Capt. Effah-Dartey said �he is ahead of his competitors in his bid to become the next General Secretary of the party� �The things that I am bringing on board, I am very sure that the NPP will win election 2016 and will help the party�Sir John cannot be a hindrance to my success,� he opined.
