He might come across as a little heartless when judging on reality shows such as The X Factor, but musical mogul Simon Cowell has proved he can have his mushy moments after describing his son's arrival as "the best day of my life". Friends of the star say that the Syco boss is already besotted with his new little boy, who he and girlfriend Lauren Silverman have named Eric after Simon's late father who died of a heart attack in 1999.
