Whether You Are Educated Or Not; We Dont Care... Allotey Jacobs Advises NPP

Central Regional Propaganda Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has asked the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be cautious in finalizing their decision as far as the disqualification or qualification of Mr. Paul Afoko is concerned. The vetting committee a few days ago completed vetting 44 aspirants including six incumbent executives vying for various positions. After the vetting, the committee disqualified five aspirants: Fred Amankwah Sarfo, Hajia Fatima, and Philomena Serwah Akoto (all vying for the Vice Chairmanship position) as well as Kamal Abdulai contesting for Nasara Coordinator and Charles Adu Gyamfi (National Youth Organiser). Mr. Paul Afoko aspiring for the chairmanship position of the party was however put on hold until 9th February 2013. The committee met again on Wednesday, 19th February 2013, to decide on the fate of the disqualified aspirants and subsequently, they cleared the five aspirants who were disqualified to be able to contest in the upcoming national executive elections. Even though the committee was to finalise their decision on Mr. Paul Afoko, they ended the meeting undecided. According to them, they are still probing into documents and petitions brought against him (Afoko). Contributing to panel discussion on Kokrokoo programme, Allotey Jacobs said Paul Afoko has become like an albatross; like a Halloween scarecrow and so the NPP should be careful...as for us (NDC) whether you are educated or not; we dont care. We will embrace you
