SoN Address Was GoodIf NPP Thinks Otherwise Let Them Offer Alternative

A Management Consultant, Nana Boateng, has charged the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to ridicule the content of the State of the Nations address delivered by President John Dramani Mahama but come up with alternatives to address the challenges confronting the nation. According to him, it would be wrong to reduce the discussions to propaganda, as some members of the NPP have sought to do, but a critical analysis of the issues raised and proffering better ways of helping to solve the countrys numerous problems would do the NPP and Ghanaians a lot of good. Mr. Boateng made this appeal during an interview on NEAT 100.9, after President John Dramani Mahamas address in the House on Tuesday. Though President Mahama touched on the economy, agriculture, and many other facets of Ghanaian life, Freddy Blay, a former 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament in an interview with GTV also indicated that he felt disappointed in the Presidents address because it sounded like a repackaged product. Others, have expressed similar sentiments, saying their disappointment with the address, stems from the fact that the budget for the year, appear to fall short of tackling the challenges bedeviling the country so there was the need for the president to come up new plans. But Nana Boateng opined that, the plans stated in the state of the Nations address sounds good and it is a challenge to the NPP to come up with other alternatives, in order to convince Ghanaians on their ability to run the country better.
