TUC, STC & Attivor To Meet Over Embezzlement Allegations

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) is expected to meet with the Minister of Transport next week following a petition filed by workers of Intercity STC Coaches Limited calling for investigations in the management of company. The workers are also agitating over the refusal of management of the transport company to pay their provident fund as well as the non increment of their salaries for 10 years. Chairman of the junior staff union of Intercity STC Coaches limited Hope Kofi Klu told Citi Business News the minister must address their concerns to prevent future confrontations. He said, We believe the security agencies must take up the issue and we definitely will meet the minister on the 27 March to discuss the issues. The workers last year staged a demonstration against management of the company accusing them of embezzling funds. The workers also want the former MD of the company investigated over similar allegations. The whole tenure of the former managing director Charles Thompson must be investigated to expose all the malfeasance perpetuated under his administration.
