An immense performance, Brendan Rodgers called it. Suffice to say that Liverpool owned the weekend. Saturday without even playing as their rivals stumbled; Sunday with a display that dispelled any notion that this team may crack under the pressure of leading from the front.
Liverpool are two points clear at the top of the Premier League table with six matches remaining, and the way the fixtures fall, if they maintain a hundred per cent record from here they will win the title and there is nothing the rest can do. They will deserve it, too.
