Anglican SHS Head Voted Best Headmaster

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has voted the headmaster of Kumasi Anglican Senior High School (KASS), Mr Alex Kwegir Conduah the best school head in Ashanti Region for 2013. For this, he was rewarded with a 42-inch flat screen television and citation at a ceremony. Mr Kofi Sarfo Kantanka, the Regional Director, hailed the leadership qualities, dedication and commitment to duty of Mr Conduah. This he said had helped to make the school�s environment not only friendly for academic work but congenial for hosting of training programmes and other activities of the GES. The event coincided with the 40th anniversary celebration of the school held on the theme: �KASS @ 40 � Fulfilling the vision of the founding fathers.� Mr Conduah expressed gratitude for the award and asked the teaching, non-teaching and students to share in the honour. He said whatever, had been achieved, was the result of the admirable level of co-operation, support, understanding and teamwork. He said discipline among students, their good moral and character training had been of foremost importance to him throughout his 32-year professional career. The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in a message read on his behalf asked the teachers to continue to show passion for their profession. Mr Kwabena Mintah-Akando, Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaboso and old student, used the occasion to make a cash donation of GH�3,000.00 towards the development of the school.
