Use Of Pesticides Major Threat To Pollinators

Research by the Global Pollination project has revealed that the continuous use of pesticides can reduce agricultural production by 60 percent. This is because, pesticides have the potential to kill more than 90 percent of bees, which are the main agents of pollination. The Global Pollination Project is therefore calling on the government to reduce the frequency of the national mass spraying exercise. This came to light in Accra at the second National Seminar on the Global Pollination Project, Ghana.
