Michael Essien Out of Action For Around 2 Weeks With Thigh Injury

AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien will be sidelined for around two weeks with a thigh injury. The Serie A club says Essien has injured his right thigh and "will undergo further tests in around 10 days' time." Essien will miss Monday's trip to Genoa and will probably also be absent for the home match against Catania next weekend. The Ghana midfielder joined Milan in January after an 8 1/2-year stint at Chelsea. The 31-year-old Essien has made six appearances for Milan.
