Murder At Ashieyie, 2 In Ccritical Condition

One person was shot dead and two others sustained severe injuries in a shooting incident that took place at Ashieyie. The attack was launched at about 3pm on Saturday by one Francis Alalemo of Amanfrom and his land guards over a land. The land in question is being claimed by three factions � Ashieyie, Amanfrom and Katamanso, which is Mr Ofori or Irroko. According to the Adentan District Police Commander, DSP Stephen Kofi Ahiatafu, the shoot-out claimed one life and left two in critical condition at the 37 Military Hospital. The victims are one Awal, deceased, Mr Ofori and Kojo Abankwan, injured. DSP Ahiatafu stated the police had information about the attack and proceeded to the scene. At the scene, the police found an old Land Rover with registration number GE 749 W riddled with bullets and its rear, front and side glasses smashed. Police also found the tyres at the driver�s side shot, with blood stains on the driver�s seat. Awal�s body was found in a nearby bush about 300 metres from the Land Rover. Information available indicates that three factions have been fighting over the ownership of the land. Mr Ofori, who has been on the land for several years, claims the land is his and the title is in his name. No arrests have been made. The case is still under investigations.
