Barnsley Sack Ghana�s Emmanuel Frimpong, 13 Others

The Reds have shown the Ghanaian the exit with 13 others and have reached �professional terms� with another Ghanaian Nana Boakye-Yiadom of their academy Ghana international Emmanuel Frimpong is among 14 players who have been offloaded by Barnsley following their relegation to League One. The midfielder joined the Oakwell side just four months ago from Premier League side Arsenal. The 22-year-old made nine appearances for the Tykes. He began his career at the youth side of the Gunners and had loan stints with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Fulham. Meanwhile, the Reds have reached �professional terms� with another Ghanaian Nana Boakye-Yiadom of their academy side. Kelvin Etuhu, Liam Lawrence, Paddy McCourt, Jordan Clark, John Cofie, Andrai Jones, Sam Patterson, McCauley Shillito, Erico Sousa, Jordan Tunnicliffe, Iain Turner, Martin Woods and Bobby Hassel are the other casualties. �The club would like to thank all players for their efforts throughout their time at Oakwell, especially Bobby Hassell for his 10 years of commitment and service to Barnsley Football Club.
