Ghana Will Survive World Cup Group, Says Ex-striker Moro Issah

The retired Ghanaian striker is convinced that the Black Stars will get to the knockout stage at Brazil 2014 with a winning mentality. Former Ghana international Moro Issah is optimistic that the Black Stars can progress from the World Cup group stage if they develop the right mentality on the field. He said the four-time African champions need to play each game like they did against the Pharaohs of Egypt during the play-offs. Ghana have been paired with Germany, US and Portugal. Is one of the toughest groups but I have the confidence in our boys. Watching them against Egypt in Kumasi was great and we should continue to play like that to go places, Issah told Goal Ghana. Kwesi Appiah is a very disciplined coach and he will work out things both technically and tactically for the team. I had no doubts that he will qualify the team when he was given the job. The forward played for Olimpija Ljulbljana, NK Beltinci and a host of Slovenian clubs before hanging his boots seven years ago after sustaining a knee injury against Anderlecht in the then European Cup.
