Man Arrested With Military Uniforms [PHOTO]

A 25-year-old man believed to be part of an armed robbery syndicate that put on military uniforms, as part of its modus operandi, to rob residents of Anyaa and Tabora, has been arrested by the police. Yakubu Amidu, the suspect, was grabbed after police discovered five military uniforms hidden in his room. However, Yakubu could not explain how he acquired the uniforms to the police and has been detained for prosecution. Briefing DAILY GUIDE, DSP Emmanuel Osei Agogba, Odorkor District Crime Officer said the suspect was arrested in a swoop conducted by the police at the dawn of Easter Sunday. Several complaints of robbery received by the police indicated that a group, clad in military uniforms, has been robbing some residents of Tabora. Based on this information, police organized a swoop and through that suspect Yakubu was arrested. When a search was conducted in his room, the five military uniforms concealed in a polythene bag were found. Yakubu, upon interrogation denied ownership of the uniforms but refused to name the owner. He has been charged for possession of military accoutrements without authority and would be processed for court.
