Don�t Destroy Our Party With Your Personal Interest �NPP Flag Bearer Aspirants Told

Just immediately after the national delegate�s conference of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tamale, the party has witnessed some sought of in-house verbal combat as to who leads the party in the next general elections. In line with this anomaly, a leading member of the opposition NPP, northern region Mr. Edward Gumah has called on all flag bearer hopefuls not to destroy the party in the pursuit of their personal interest. Speaking to a group of media men in Tamale, the Northern regional capital, Mr. Edward Gumah disclosed that this was the time for the party to design strategies and methods of winning the much anticipated keenly contested 2016 general elections. He blamed the situation on members of the party who have shown interest in leading the party in the next coming 2016 general election. He entreated all party faithfuls to put aside all individualistic interests and chart a healthy path towards victory come 2016 for the NPP. Mr. Gumah expressed his dissatisfaction over the crisis that has beguiled the party. He hinted that the behavior and utterances of some leading members especially their supporters has the tendency of making them loose the next general election. Individual problem can never bring happiness to our party and we must fight together,� he added. He noted that the NPP needs to galvanized and mobilize all efforts towards recapturing power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government. �This is what we need now� and �Ghanaians cannot wait any longer to see our coming back but we must unite to achieving that,� he said. He stated that NPP is a strong party to win every election in the country but was quick to disclose �Division is the cause of you losing when we go to the polls.� He noted that NPP should not have lost the 2008 general elections. He underscored the pressing need for members to put all hands on deck to address the problems facing the NPP.
