The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Asanteman have come up for commendation following a successful durbar to climax the 15th Anniversary of his coronation. On Sunday, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the entire Kumasi municipality was filled with pomp and pageantry as the Asantehene sat in state to receive homage from both local and foreign dignitaries. Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Odikro of Gomoa Ankamu, Nana Ankamu Otabil, said the people of Ashanti deserve praise for maintaining and promoting the Ghanaian culture. Nana Ankamu Otabil also upheld the importance of the chieftaincy institution in a democratic dispensation.
