Fishermen along the western coast are to be provided with equipment to help in the search for the missing person and the wreckage of the helicopter that crashed last Thursday off Cape Three Points in the Western Region.
Mr. Albert Taylor, Director of the Air Traffic Services of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, told the GNA that equipment had also been procured for seven vessels involved in the search to be coordinated by the Ghana Navy and the Ghana National Petroleum Company.
He said the tail-boom and the nose of the helicopter had been recovered in the first operation search.
Mr. Taylor said that data and voice recorder, essential elements in air travel, had also been found and would help in investigation as to ascertain the cause of the crash.
Last Thursday an Ivorian registered helicopter, �TUHAA� contracted by Luk Oil Company to send supplies to its rig crashed resulting in the death of the three of the eight passengers on board.
