Ghana Electrometer Supports Power Queens Club Of ECG

The Ghana Electrometer (GEM), a Ghanaian manufacturer of credit and prepaid electric meters, has presented a cheque for GH₵3,000 to the Power Queens Club of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in Accra. Mr Obed Solomon, Director, Operations and External Relations, said the donation to support the Club formed part of activities marking Electrometer's 10th Anniversary celebration to be held later in the year. He said the company has a business partnership with ECG for almost a decade, hence the decision to show appreciation to the women�s wing of ECG. He pledged, on behalf of the company, to sponsor the club with sport kits next year. Mr Solomon said in June the company will launch the anniversary and make the activities known to the public and stakeholders He said GEM is currently the only local electric meter assembly plant in Ghana. Mrs Rosemond Asamoah Frimpong, President of the Club, expressed gratitude for the support, and said the Club would also donate the Cheque to an orphanage as part of the week-long celebration to be held in September. GEM has been operating in the country since 2004, as a fully integrated metering solutions provider which supports ECG and the Ministry of Energy with locally and internationally-certified electricity meters.
