Valuable Brands To Be Honoured...PeaceFM To Be Awarded �Ghana�s Greatest Brand�

Twenty-Five brands in Ghana, five Consumer Brands and twenty business brands including Peace FM will be honoured at this year�s Brand Excellence Awards to be held on Friday May 16 at the plush Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra. The yearly event which started in 2012, seeks to identify exceptional brands and reward them for their excellence in branding. The maiden edition of this scheme saw 40 brands awarded in Ghana as Superbrands. The organizers have confirmed that since then, brands have grown tremendously in the way they brand themselves, and those who have shown great signs of attaining excellence will be �graduated� as Ghana�s Premier Brands, confirming them as leaders in their business categories. The climax of the event will see Top Ten Brands in Ghana awarded as Ghana�s Greatest Brands for obtaining the highest customer loyalty over the years. These top ten brands have been ranked to include; Ghana Commercial Bank, Daily Graphic, Ghacem, MTN, Frytol Cooking Oil, Pepsodent, Golden Tulip Hotel, Peace FM, Omo and Voltic. Among the companies to be awarded as Ghana�s Premier Brands are; Ghana News Agency, Japan Motors, Glico General Insurance, Medlab Ghana Ltd, Westafco Ghana Ltd, Bayport Financial Services, Afrodan Ghana Ltd, Efiewura TV Series, Aviation Social Centre, MediaCom Ghana, Laine Services, Dark & Lovely, and Zoomlion. Three other business brands, The Telecom Channel, Vefa Africa, and Around The Clock, all Ghanaian owned business brands, will be receiving awards as Top Emerging Brands for improving their brand presence in completion in Ghana in recent times. The event organizers, Premier Brands Ghana, an independent brand building consultants, in partnership with The Centre for Brand Analysis Ghana, are in the business of promoting the discipline of branding, making it very necessary for businesses in Ghana to leverage on their brands� equity to grow their businesses, and to take advantage of their positions in competition to reassure their clients that they are buying the best brand in its category.
