The office of the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheik Dr Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, has called on all regional chief Imams, as well as Jumah (Friday) prayer mosques in Ghana to note that the 20th Annual Ramadan Conference to determine the date for the commencement of the 2014 Ramadan is scheduled for June 13-15, 2014 in Sekondi in the Western Region. A statement signed by Alhaji Ahmed Nii Nortey, Public Relations Officer at the office of the National Chief Imam, stated that the National Chief Imam would preside over the conference. According to the statement, President John Dramani Mahama would be the guest of honour. The statement urged all regional Imams to endeavour to attend or send delegates to make the conference a success.
