Gospel Diva Ohemaa Mercy has called for prayers and fasting for female students in Senior High Schools (SHS) across the country and says they have become a top target of the devil.
�We need to pray for them with some passion and a sense of urgency. The devil has targeted them in very evil ways and wants to use the spirit of immorality, drugs, promiscuity and lesbianism to destroy them. I would be touring the schools to talk to them, encourage them, pray with them and teach them how to pray and depend on God for protection and direction,� Ohemaa Mercy told News-One.
The gospel musician explained that if the country wants to protect its future mothers and wives then the wellbeing and safety of teenage girls currently in secondary schools must be a major issue of concern.
�Reports of our female students getting involved in all sorts of things are becoming too common, and as Christians, especially those of us who are ministers of the gospel, we should not just sit back and watch them unconcerned. We must rise up, team up and use prayers to rescue them from the grips of the evil one. Are we saying we do not know what the future holds for them if we sit and watch them go wayward? It would be our collective shame if we failed to be responsible enough to show some commitment now,� she stated.
Explaining further, Ohemaa Mercy said her tour would also see the formation of prayer and counseling clubs in the various schools.
