NPP To Sanction Loose Talkers

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cautioned its members, especially splinter groups campaigning for flagbearer aspirants, against indecorous conducts which could be inimical to the partys chances in the 2016 general elections. According to the National Chairman, Paul Afoko, the party as part of efforts to sanitize its communication structure will not hesitate to sanction anyone who will seek the jeopardize the unity in the part. NPP is bigger than any individual and we will use the necessary tools at our disposal to sanction anyone whose action compromises party unity without fear or favour he stressed. Paul Afokos directive stem from recent smear campaigns mounted by some splinter groups sympathetic to NPPs 2012 presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo and flagbearer aspirant, Alan Kyerematen ahead of the partys presidential primaries in December. Groups such as Get Alan Kyerematen Elected (GAKE) and Concerned Crusaders of Nana Akufo-Addo (CONAA) have launched vitriolic attacks just to undo their opponents. But on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, Paul Afoko condemned such acts describing it as inconsistent with the NPPs tradition. The NPP National Chairman who said he is allergic to the use of unsavory language in our body politic wondered whether the people involved are true NPP members. I sometimes think those people who behave like that have been paid because no genuine member who wants the NPP to come back to power will behave like this he bemoaned. Paul Afoko said because some people underestimate him as a leader, from now onwards, I will not hesitate to crack the whip. I will not bow to anybody because losing a third election is not an option. As chairman and leader of the NPP, I will not sit and watch some people derail our chances of winning the 2016 elections. Paul Afoko appealed to Nana Akufo-Addo and Alan Kyerematen to call their supporters to order for a united front in 2016.
