We Will Give You More Votes In 2016 Mahama Assured

Branch executives of the Lower Manya Krobo constituency of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Eastern Region have pledged their unflinching support to the party and President John Mahama for retaining the Member of Parliament for the area in government. According to them the retention of Mr.Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi in a recent ministerial reshuffle has re-energized the whole lower Manya Krobo NDC to seek for more votes for President Mahama ahead of elections in 2016. At a press conference to thank the President for reassigning the Lower Manya lawmaker to a deputy minister portfolio, the branch executives led by David Walter Hormenu noted that the president took a good decision to keep one of the few legislators in the Krobo area in government. President Mahama in his current ministerial reshuffle moved Mr.Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi from the Defence Ministry to the Lands and Natural Resources Ministry as Deputy Minister. ''We are grateful to President Mahama for the trust he had in our MP who has for the past years distinguished himself as capable of producing results in every responsibility given him. We wish to on behalf of the chiefs/queen mothers and the good people of Lower Manya express our appreciation to His Excellency John Mahama for not letting Krobos down when taking crucial decisions in his government, Walter Hormenu said at the press conference. The Lower Manya Krobo constituency in the Eastern Region has remained one of the strongholds of the NDC. The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has over the years struggled to overturn the election outcomes in the area but has failed. The group pledged to support Mr.Jacob Acolatse when confirmed as the municipal chief executive for the area. ''We want to use this platform to congratulate Mr.Jacob Acolatse for his appointment as the new MCE for this area and we pledge our unflinching support to him at all times and we hope he will reciprocate this gesture by working hand in hand with the grassroots of our party without discrimination. David Walter Hormenu enumerated sensitive projects the NDC government has undertaken as part of his campaign promises. He mentioned the establishment of a public university in the eastern region to be situated in Krobo Land, allocating one of the 200 Senior High Schools at Oborpah and the rehabilitation of the Kpong-Somanya main roads as well as the Odumase-Oterkpolu roads among many others.
