NDC To Elect New National Officers In October

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has fixed between October 24 and 26, 2014 for a national congress to elect new national executives. The date was arrived at a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Accra Thursday. The party has also set July 19, 2014 as the beginning of branch congresses to elect new executives. A time table for upcoming internal elections within the party indicates that various constituencies will elect their leaders on August 31, 2014 whilst regional executive elections will be held on October 5th, 2014. The NDC's NEC meeting on Thursday also focused on how to conclude all the party�s internal elections by December this year as well as implementing reform exercises like the biometric registration of members. Also top on the agenda was how the party intends to strategise to win power in 2016.
