Ben Ephson 'Stroke' Rumour Was Politically Induced

Over the weekend, news went viral on social media that renowned pollster and Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Ben Ephson was seriously ill and has been admitted at an undisclosed hospital. According to reports, Doctors who diagnosed him said he was suffering from stroke. But speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi on Monday morning, a merry-sounding Ben Ephson debunked the report saying he was strong and healthy. Analysing the statement which made the rounds on facebook, he said it was politically induced because those behind the statement are known NPP loyalists. The seasoned journalist, who said he was doing "very well" and was at home, however decided against taking legal action against the two, saying he had forgiven them. Narrating what happened he said: from the statement (on social media), I realised that it was politically induced and I prayed for God to have mercy on the person He added that those who started writing said i have suffered a massive stroke and asked that I should wait till NPP comes to power before I die. The earliest the NPP will come to power is in 2016 and so I should wait till 2016 before I die. Nobody knows when he or she will die and that is why I asked that God forgives them. When issues like this occur, you just pray to God and you move on.
