Former Odododiodio MP Denies Making Scathing Attack On Tribesmen

The former Member of Parliament for the Odododiodio Constituency has flatly denied making scathing attacks on his tribesmen which sought to describe them as backward and uninterested in education. Responding to the allegation on NEAT 100.9 FMs Me Man Nti programme, Hon. Nii Tackie Commey stated that the statements being attributed to him was a misrepresentation, calculated to cause mischief and disaffection. I never said that anywhere but what I remember saying is that, we should have a keen interest in the education of our wards rather than wasteful fanfare that characterizes out-doorings and funerals. We are always quick to buy three different types of cloths for one funeral whiles our children are home due to unpaid fees. It was only an advice I gave them but I did not use those words being ascribed to me, the former Law-maker said. Hon. Nii Tackie Commey added that the mischief in this allegation make it seem as though he had made those statements recently, but the advice was given years back, when he was still the representative of the people of Odododiodio in the august House of Parliament. He however, reiterated the call for parents to invest more in the education of their children since they are the future leaders.
