Former National Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Emmanuel Attefuah-Danso has said that the party�s former flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will win the party�s pending Special Congress with the majority vote. According to him, Akufo-Addo who has been tested and tried by an adversity of furnace has gone through the needed political drilling and has a total grasp and appreciation of the issues of governance, foreign policy, international relations, the economy and ardent human rights to lead the elephant family again in 2016. �The all affable Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a lover of Youth empowerment and human resource development. He positioned his legal firm in training most of today�s astute legal luminaries we have as a country. His long standing track record in activism and grass root participatory politics places him far above his competitors,� he said. The steering committee of the NPP has proposed Saturday August 30, 2014 for a special delegate�s conference to prune the number of presidential aspirants from seven to five as stipulated in the party's constitution. The steering committee made up of national officers has also proposed November 1, 2014 for the National Delegates� Congress after the five have been settled on. The battle for the party�s flagbearer race for the 2016 elections is set to draw along familiar lines, Nana Akufo-Addo, two-time winner and his long standing political foe, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen. Three other candidates; former Information Minister, Stephen Asamoah Boateng; former Minister of Trade, Kofi Konadu Apraku and the MP for Mampong, Francis Addai Nimo are considered also-rans. In an interview with Peacefmonlione.com, Emmanuel Attefuah-Danso opined that; �the ideas, thoughts, vision, programmes and policies of Nana Addo is so Youth and Human centered; Free SHS education, entrepreneurial and skill developed training programme, teacher first programme, transformational economic policy and job creation his brainchild that found space, given oxygen of publicity in NPP manifesto is the way forward in making Ghana work again. As a democrat by choice, Nana believes in Ghana�. He however declared that �operation 800 vote is duly launched, enforced and workable. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the hope of the youth of Ghana who is on the Lord Side�. He further stressed that, �With this political diagnostic, which prescriptions are in the mandate and presidency of Nana Addo, I thereby humbly employ all our delegates to give their unflinching and unalloyed support in voting him to lead us. The support must translate into a resounding victory for NPP to succeed. No one can stop an idea which time has come�.
