Give Armed Robbers Anything They Want If They Attack DCOP Yohunu

The Accra Regional Police Commander DCOP Christian Yohunu has implored victims of armed robbery attacks to quickly surrender any item they (armed robbers) request for. According to him, victims should immediately give out anything the armed robbers ask for if you have it and this will prevent further action; in terms of shooting or beating their victims. The Regional Police Commander made these comments in an interview with Nana Yaw Kesse on Kokrokoo shortly after six suspected armed robbers were arrested on Monday. The suspects were allegedly behind the gruesome murders of the UK Chairman of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Mr Hayford Akrofi and one Prophetess Agnes Koomson all in Accra. According to the Police Commander, they received intelligence information indicating that some armed robbers are now using commercial vehicles, including tro-tro for their nefarious acts. The distant is very close and so we realised that it will be the same people. They use the same modus of operation. We arrested Yaw Dodge, alias Awudu and Richard Ampong, 26. These two men were arrested and confessedIn all we have eight suspects but we have arrested 6; two are on the run. When we arrested Yusif he confessed and told us how they entered the houses and how they shared the items they stole. According to him, most of these boys are seriously on drugs and so when they ask of anything, to avoid being shot or beaten, give it to them They refused to tell us why they shot the prophetess but we advise that whenever armed robbers come to your house, give them whatever they want. They can sometime eliminate your life or spare you. It can happen that with the prophetess they were requesting for a laptop and they were not given and all of a sudden they shot the woman. Sometimes they have information about you and so whatever they request for give it to them especially when they keep on insisting. If you delay in giving it to them that brings about all these kind of shooting He urged neighbours to also assist in arresting criminals by making use of the police emergency line especially when they suspect an attack. Neighbours and victims must first call the police emergency lines on 0302773906 and toll free number: 18555, 191 in case of emergency.
