Peace Fm's Ohene Amponsah Loses Mum!

Death is reported of Madam Grace Yaa Ampea, the mother of Ohene Amponsah a broadcast journalist with Peace fm and United television here in Accra. Meni Yaa(Maame Yaa) as she was known, passed on to glory at the Suhum Government Hospital when she had gone there herself to seek medical attention. Peaceonline.com caught up with Ohene Amponsah who confirmed it says "my sweetest heart has been taken away". Though journeyed in years, she was still strong and doing everything herself never wanted anyone to do anything for her. She hails from Awukugua and Abirew on the Akwapim Ridge in the Eastern Region. Sources close to the family indicate that Madam Grace Yaa Ampea was very caring, generous and would make sure to feed everyone who entered into her home. A staunch Presbyterian, she was a trader, much disciplined, very industrious, loved strangers and kids. No wonder Ohene Amponsah is the tenth child of her mother and father whom he has nine other biological siblings. Checks on Ohene Amponsah facebook wall reveals that he has indeed closer relations and bond with her mum. These were some of the messages he posted on his wall: "Mum I Will Always Love You", "My Darkest Period Of My Life", "At least A Word From You Would Have Been Ok" and "You Sacrificed Your Comfort & All For Our Comfort" amongst others. Madam Grace Yaa Ampea will be buried on Saturday, 9th August,2014 at her village, Kwabena Kumi, Suhum, near Subum Roundabout at 9am. We chanced on a poem Ohene has written in memory of his mother titled "GOLDEN MOTHER YAA AMPEAH". Golden Mum, you are still our gold. The Golden glamour that glitters as gold. Mum, Our golden gold that glitters. A precious stone, a rock that rocks mankind. You shared your offspring for the spring that springs. How silent, but noisiest your quietness roars. You are the most precious mum the earth has ever witnessed. Witnesses have witnessed your kindness, love, support to mankind. Mankind candid candle lit your lighted light that rays. Your perpetual and purposeful rays that rake abilities of mankind A tree has fallen. I dare say. A tree has fallen Indeed!. A big tree for billions has fallen indeed!. The falling felling from far has fallen. From the tree of grace to grace the occasion of grace. The fountain, the river reverses to the living and the lived. From far and near, the fear that flies from flowing tears Tears of drums, drumming to onlookers looking at your tears of death. A big tree has fallen indeed. The tree of shades shading a showering shower on man. Birds which perch, peak, pleak and pluck your plucking seed. Seed of old, the new, the loved, the hatred indeed the big tree. A mother, There had been several mothers in this universe. The world had seen mothers. But mum you were a mother of mothers. Indeed a mother for the motherless. Who mothered a million, Your Deprture means hunger hangs on the empty stomach. Stomachs which gathered at ur door. From dawn to dusk. You dusts your dusted clothes for the poor. To dash and to be dashed. Your generosity, unparallel Unparallel love, care, positivity. Unsurpassable good sense judgment you had. You were a diamond. You meant a lot to all, The westerners, the easterners. The northerners and the southners. You sacrificed your comfort To comfort the uncomfortable. The confident calmer mother who calms When there's war. Your Christian virtues christened us to Christ. Clearer your instructions! Cleared mess and cleans heart. You...Indeed...you. Mum! you were indeed a role model. Word alone lacks the correctness of your person. We missed you mum. Individuals have gathered to say good bye. See you in paradise. Mum. Mum why leave like a living live on a strange land. One, Rose rises to raise the rising son of your noses and eyes. Two, Vic's victory for victors of your visiting admonishment. Three, Gladys cries to graces and embraces you. Mum. Four, Alex relaxes in your bosom, and now no bosom for relaxing. Five, Sam sums all happens and feels its someone's dreams and not real. Six, Mercy prays for mercy for you and all and not justice. Seven, Solo still in sorrow and not soon will his sorrow slows down. Eight, Charity, you gave, and chances u gave why not chance to chat with you once. Nine, Frank flanks you today for the fear of not having for friend you had been. Christian cries clearing the claim of your deathbut now its clear. I, dont know what to say, but God knows best, my darkest day is today. R I P OBATANPA
