Wakaso: I Want To Make History With Celtic

The versatile winger wants to help the Scottish side win laurels this season after sealing a one year loan deal with them. Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso is delighted to have completed a loan move to Celtic and believes he is with the Scottish champions to make history. The winger, who is at Paradise from Russian side Rubin Kazan on a years loan, is the first Ghanaian to play for Celtic. Im very happy to be here because since I arrived I've met a lot of people and they have been amazing to me and thats why Im here, the 24-year-old told the clubs official website. He added: Celtics a big team to play at and I have to do my best to see the team through. I want to make history for my country and for the team because I am the first Ghanaian player to play for Celtic and I have to set an example for the upcoming ones, so I need to make history for the team, for my nation and for myself. I've not seen much of the Scottish league but the one team I have been watching, Celtic, is enough to judge it. Im ready to play. Wakaso has previously featured for Espanyol, Villareal and Elche all in Spain after leaving Ghanas Ashanti Gold. He has had 19 caps with Ghana and was part of the 2014 World Cup squad in Brazil.
