In an attempt to paint the reality of the position of NPP delegates in the upcoming October 18, Congress, the former Deputy Minister of Local Government in the erstwhile Kufuor�s administration, Hon. Maxwell Kofi Jumah has cautioned Alan Kyerematen to desist from listening to ill-conceived counsels which have the tendency to ruin his Presidential ambition. According to the former Kumasi Mayor, though Alan Kyerematen might be a good presidential material, the honest truth is that majority of NPP activists believe he did not help the party to secure the much-needed victory in 2012; adding it will take time for him to clear his name and be in the good books of party faithfuls. Speaking on Okay Fm�s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Kofi Jumah said it is clearly evident NPP delegates have settled on Nana Akufo-Addo following the outcome of the party�s recent Super Delegates� Congress. He stressed that the former NPP MP for Kwadaso, Hon. Hilda Addo and other former MP�s have joined the camp of Alan Kyerematen as a vehicle to get back at Nana Addo and not to help him (Alan) secure the Presidential slot for NPP. He added that they are using him to pour out their anger after losing their Parliamentary seats to other candidates believed to sympathetic to Akufo Addo�s camp. �We don�t do politics in anger but with the intention to make Ghana better and it would be wrong to say that Akufo Addo should lose the election because you are angry with him at the expense of the entire nation. Hilda Addo and many others in Alan�s camp are not helping him�it is because of open hatred for Nana Addo�..certain counsel offered to Alan are not helping him because those who voted at the Super Delegates Congress did so under the influence of the masses in the party and so it will be disastrous to contest Nana Addo when the Regional Executives and the MP�s have spoken on behalf of the masses� interest�..it hurts me that Alan has taken that path that will lead to jeopardizing his future Presidential ambition; those people are giving him (Alan) as a result of the hatred they harbour against Nana Addo and some members of his inner circle�..this has nothing to do with the love they have for Alan but to pursue their own agenda,� he bemoaned.
