The Time Is Nana Oclock- Osei Ameyaw Declares

What says your time? The time is Nana oclock says the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Constituency, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw. Barely hours after issuing a statement to withdraw from the New Patriotic Partys upcoming presidential primaries, Mr. Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, visited the studios of Peace FM to explain the reasons behind his new decision. According to him, he has conducted his own investigations and seen that out of the many candidates vying to lead the NPP, it is only Nana Akufo-Addo who can win them power in 2016. Aside this reason, he claims for sake of unity, he had to step aside for their two time flagbearer to lead them for the third consecutive time. I am not hungry for power or feeling anxious to be the partys flagbearer. We had executive members of the party vote during the Super Delegate Congress, and it emerged that majority wanted one particular candidate (Nana Addo)...If it is unity we need to win the 2016 election, I think we must listen to the calls and allow Nana run for the third time. He is the better candidate who can fetch us power in the future, the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Constituency of the Eastern Region observed. He was however concerned about some individuals in the party who were interested in destabilizing the party. 18th of October is just around the corner and I think as a united party, we can repeat the history just like the victory we had in 1969, 2000 and 2004. If not, we would be doomed just like the 1979 case where division in our camp brought formations such as the UNC, PFP and the way we lost in 2008 and 2012, he noted. He prayed for a united party and wished the two contenders looking to unseat Nana Akufo-Addo the best of luck although he revealed it is going to be an impossible mission.
