@ Dzamefe Commission: Kwesi Nyantakyi Raised Shoulder High (PHOTOS)

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwasi Nyantakyi, was on Thursday lifted high by football fans and members of the football association after he had delivered another brilliant display at the Dzamefe Commission on the third and final day of his appearance. Kwasi Nyantakyi who took the day to outline the various achievements of the Football Association since he took over the Football Association, received several commendations from the Commissioners who praised him for making himself available and for educating the Commission and the public on various issues. Justice Dzamefe, Chairman of the Commission praised Nyantakyi for really educating the Commission and the public while Kofi Anokye Opoku, another commissioner admitted that he had really benefitted from the appearance at the Commission. Nyantakyi on his part also commended the Commission for providing the opportunity and platform to clear various misconceptions, some of which had deliberately been churned to create disaffection for the FA and defame the FA and personalities attached to the FA. Nyantakyi recalled how low Ghana football had sunk before he took over in 2005, noting how the National Teams were so unattractive to attract kit sponsorship to the extent that the FA had to rely on government to buy kits for the Teams anytime they played. He also mentioned the Local League which was without a sponsor for most of the time and how the performance of the National Team had generally sunk and how the FA had worked had to improve the National Team and its performances. Before his appearance at the Commission, there were suggestions that the FA Boss was afraid of appearing, with many critics even suggesting that the FA President was running away from the commission because he was afraid he will be exposed for various crimes he was said to have committed. However, his appearance for three consecutive days failed to reveal any dent on his administration as he took his time to explain a lot of issues and clarify others which appeared murky. Indeed, so admirable was his display at the Commission that Justice Senyo Dzamefe prophesied that the GFA President will soon chair a committee at FIFA after Nyantakyi revealed that he Chairs the CAF Ethics Committee. Excited at his performance, numerous members of the football fraternity rushed after he was discharged to carry him high in ecstatic jubilation amidst shouts of Still Maintain; signifying their support for him to continue as FA President.
