Ghana�s U-20 male team, Black Satellites on Tuesday evening managed a 2-2 drawn game with Qatar U-23 team in an international friendly far away in Doha [Qatar]. The game which was used by both coaches to prepare the two sides ahead of their respective competitions saw both teams sharing honors at the Ganama Sports Stadium. Coach Sellas Tetteh�s side are preparing for the 13th edition of the African Youth Championships in Senegal, whiles Qatar build-up for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. The Asian side who had lost their last three friendly games to Tunisia, Senegal and Brazil respectively were eager to redeem their image by securing a win over the Black Satellites at their favorite grounds. It took Ghana 38 minutes to draw first blood after lanky midfielder Samuel Tetteh opened the scoring with a fine finish having received a perfect looping pass from forward Sulley Mohammed. 18-year-old Tetteh could have shot the Satellites into the lead in the 27th minute when he had the goalkeeper at his mercy only to balloon the ball over the bar. The home team however drew level six minutes into the second half as striker Bhadri Al Zaidi equalized to make it 1-1 after 51 minutes. Al Zaidi however shot his side in front with a second goal three minutes later after he capitalized on a mistake by Ghana left-back Patrick Asmah to beat goalkeeper Michael Sai at his near post. Substitute Benjamin Tetteh got the Satellites back into the game when he pulled parity by netting in the 78th minute to make it 2-2. The striker however seemed to have gotten the much needed winner for Ghana on the stroke of full time when he scored in the 91st minute only for the referee to disallow the goal claiming the player was offside as both sides shared spoils. The Black Satellites are however expected to leave Qatar to Ghana tomorrow to continue their build-up ahead of the 2015 African Youth Championships in Senegal.
