The Ghana midfielder has rubbished media reports about him contracting the deadly Ebola virus

Ghana and AC Milan midfielder, Michael Essien says all the media reports about him contracting Ebola are completely false.

Several online outlets reported on Sunday that the 31-year-old has caught the Ebola disease. The rumour then became rife on social media before AC Milan released a statement to state that the news was false.

Meanwhile, the player himself quickly resorted to twitter to clear the air.

�No truth in internet rumours that I have contracted Ebola. I am very well & I'm doing very good & will be training as usual tomorrow. #falsenews�

It is still not sure what might have triggered such a wild rumour about the former Chelsea star.
