Gyan Anticipates Good Fortune In Tamale

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan says the Black Stars are poised to secure a win on Wednesday when they play Guinea at the Tamale Stadium. Both sides will go at each other again after the first leg played in Morocco on Saturday ended 1-1. And being their first ever competitive match at the Tamale Stadium, the skipper, who together with the rest of the team arrived Monday afternoon in the capital of the Northern Region has assured fans of their readiness to secure all three points to boost their chances of qualification to the 2015 AFCON in Morocco. "Our objective was to get all six matches in these two matches but we were quite disappointed that things didn't go as planned in Morocco", Gyan said in a media briefing before the team landed in Tamale. "Though we are quite disappointed we didn't win the match, it is an important point for us and a win in Tamale will push us further in the group". "We've heard about the enthusiasm in Tamale ahead of the match and we are very determined to put smiles on the fans who will be at the stadium and all Ghanaians", he added. Gyan once again apologized to Ghanaians for the incidents that occurred during the World Cup in Brazil and further called on football fans to support the team in the ongoing qualifiers.
