The chances of Ghana�s Black Queens remain intact despite suffering a lone goal loss to Algeria in their Group B opener on Sunday at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek, according to head coach, Yusif Basigie. Horiya Affak scored the winners three minutes from time as �Les Fennecs Dames� cruised to a historic win, their first since 2004 in the history of the championship, however Basigie is convinced his team can bounce back in the remaining games. It was the first time Ghana had lost an opening match in the history of the championship. �We came with an intention to win. Unfortunately, we had so many chances that we could have converted. The players were desperate and in a rush to score and as a result we missed those chances. �Football is full of uncertainties. We still have two matches to play. The Algeria game is over,� he told Cafonline.com after the game. The Black Queens face South Africa, who also suffered a lone goal loss against Cameroon in their opening match, and Basigie reckons a dicey test in the game that will define their continued stay at the championship. �We will go into the game against South Africa as if it�s our first match. It�s a little bit dicey and the fact that South Africa lost makes the group very tough. �We are still in contention and I�m full of hope that my girls will qualify,� he added. After the opening matches, the Ghana trainer has predicted two teams from the group to be amongst the three top finishers that will qualify for the 2015 FIFA World Cup in Canada. �I want to assure that two teams from Group B will qualify for the World Cup,� he concluded.
