Black Stars Trio To Appear Before Commission of Inquiry on October 28

Black Stars trio Fatau Dauda, Stephen Adams and Rashid Sumaila have been scheduled to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Brazil 2014. Adams, goalkeeper of Aduana Stars was the only local player to have made it to the World Cup, whiles Dauda and Sumaila whom after post World Cup obscurity at their respective Clubs has returned from South Africa to ply their trades in Ghana are all expected to make themselves available before the Justice Dzamefe-led Commission on Tuesday October 28, 2014. The three member commission who is currently on a nationwide tour were incensed after the team�s [Black Stars] failed to appear before its sittings last Thursday which eventually led to captain of the side Asamoah Gyan apologizing on behalf of his team-mates. The Commission, which has been mainly set up to investigate issues surrounding Ghana�s fiasco at the Brazil 2014 World cup is yet to have any of the Black Stars players that participated at the mundial appear before it. Meanwhile, Ghanasportsonline.com understands that former Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Black Stars executive committee member George Afriyie, General Secretary of the Ghana football Association Emmanuel Gyimah as well as FA Spokesperson Ibrahim Sannie Darra have all been called to reappear before the commission. The Commission in addition will also be hearing from FA executive committee members Yaw Boateng Gyan, Felix Ansong and Kwame Ofosu Bamfo [SIKKENS]. Chief Director of the Ministry of Sports Alhaji Abdulai Yakubu and Prosper Akpasu who is the accountant at the Ministry have also not been exempted from appearing before the Commission on the said date.
