We Are Poised For Victory; KEEA PPP Declares

Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) wing of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has affirmed that they will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the party wins the parliamentary seat in the 2016 polls. According to them, there is a new wind of change blowing across the KEEA constituency and a brighter chance for the PPP to annex the seat in the next general elections2016. At a press conference at the partys office in Elmina recently to announce the opening of nomination for PPP parliamentary candidates in the constituency, Chairman of the party in the area, Mr. Badu Tenteh, stated that the people of KEEA were yearning for the PPP to come to power to help save them from the hardship and deprivation they have and been going through under the leadership of past and present governments. He noted that the numerous PPP inspired projects spread throughout the constituency have made people in the area hungry for the leadership of the PPP to take over the reins of administration to bring on board more progressive ventures to enhance productivity, boost employment and push the developmental agenda to a higher level. Mr. Tenteh hinted that the party has done a lot of work on the ground to ensure a massive victory in KEEA in 2016. In the last general elections [2012,] even though PPP was a baby party we were third in the elections so this time we have done a lot of underground work and we are very confident the KEEA seat will be ours come 2016, he confidently asserted. The chairman revealed that KEEA is the only constituency that has received massive infrastructural development from the PPP and it was time the party reaped good works it has sown over the years. Everywhere we go in the constituency people extol the partys 2012 flag-bearer, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, for the massive investment he has done to create employment for the people in the area. For this reason, the people have pledged to vote for the PPP to continue the good work it is doing, he said. He mentioned some of the PPP inspired projects which has created employment for the people in the constituency as factories and manufacturing industries at Essaman and Pershie, financial institutions including three GN bank branches, Real Estate Development at Eduagyei, Community Library, Academic Institution and Quarry and Concrete Products among others. He observed that KEEA is a fast assuming the industrial status in the region with the establishment of the above factories as well as the fish processing plant and Komenda Sugar Factory by government. Mr. Tenteh dispelled the notion that Dr. Nduom will not contest the presidency in 2016, saying he has not informed us of such decision and even if he does, the PPP has very qualified people who can take Ghana to the Promised Land.
