We Cant Wait To Meet Grant Gyan Declares

If there is any day Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and his colleagues are looking forward to, then it is their first training session with yet-to-be confirmed coach Avram Grant. Gyan told the media at the Kotoka International Airport a few minutes after arriving from his United Arab Emirates (UAE) base that he cannot wait to have his first training session with the Israeli tactician. He described the former Chelsea boss as a great coach, and expressed readiness to work with him if Grant gets the Ghana coaching job. We are players and ready to work with any coach that would be assigned to the team. He is a great coach by all standards and we cant wait for our first training session with him. We are ready to work, listen and accept his philosophy. You know every coach has his game plan and philosophy. We welcome him, Gyan said. The Ghana captain, who is nursing an injury but expected to return to the pitch soon, is in town to motivate his colleagues for their impending two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Uganda this weekend and Togo on November 19. Grant is expected in the country this week to finalize his deal with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after impressing earlier in an interview. If his meeting with the GFA proves positive, he will take over from Maxwell Konadu, who was made the caretaker coach after the axing of Kwasi Appiah.
