Canelo Afraid of Me But Will Get Him In 2015 Joshua Clottey

Former IBF welterweight champion, Joshua Clottey has revealed to Ghana Sports that Mexican boxing star, Saul Canelo Alvarez, is afraid of him and decided to pull out of their mega showpiece fight scheduled for December. The Ghanaian champion pitched camp in the United States for the fight but had to come home devastated because Canelo picked an injury, leading to the cancellation of the bout. I feel I could have beaten Canelo if we had fought in December, Clottey said. My promoter Rogers, have assured me of the same amount of money to fight a different person next year. The ex-champion said he was disappointed when Canelo pulled out and that he wanted to prove a point to the world after having lost Manny Pacquiao at the Cowboy Stadium in 2010. I had wanted to beat Canelo to regain my support base in the United States. I wanted to prove all critics and win back my fans in Ghana and abroad. Canelo has watched my tapes and saw he is afraid but I will not let this go waste because there was a contract. Clottey believes they signed a contract that permits them to fight before Canelo called it off. I will take him on based the contractual agreements. Joshua has assured Ghanaians he is coming back strongly in 2015 and that he is leaving no stone unturned. 2015 is my year and I am coming back strongly again.
