Ghanaian Referees To Officiate At 2015 African Cup of Nations

Ghana duo Joseph Lamptey and Malik Salifu have been named by the Confederation of African Football [CAF] to officiate at 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea. The pair who officiated during the 2015 AFCON qualifiers are expected to join 28 others to handle games at the continents flagship football event next year. Both referees handled qualifying games between Burkina vs Gabon, Nigeria vs Congo as well as Algeria vs Mali. Meanwhile the two are expected to undergo a fitness test before the tournament kick start on January 17. Lamptey, a FIFA badge holder will be making his maiden AFCON tournament after officiating at the 2014 CHAN tournament in South Africa, whiles Malik makes his second appearance at the competition having officiated at the 2013 edition held in South Africa.
