Chairman Wontumi and Ken Agyapong Run Donation Errands On Christmas Day

Even in opposition, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party continues to show commitment towards improving Ghanas education system just as he promised before the 2008 general elections. On Christmas day, a delegation from the party on behalf of Nana Akufo Addo, visited the Assin South Constituency in the Central Region to donate school uniforms and cash of GH 2000 to the constituent. The team consisted of the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NPP, Mr. Bernard Antwi- Boasiako, Prof. Dominic K. Fobih who is the MP for the area and Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central. In an address to the constituent, Mr. Bernard Antwi- Boasiako stated that if Nana Addo had been in power after the 2008 general elections, school children in Ghana would have enjoyed a better educational system as compared to the crumbling one under the National Democratic Congress. He added that unlike the NDC, a Nana Akufo Addo led administration would have minimized the series of controversy surrounding the school feeding program that continues to stall the progress education in the country. The occasion was used to mark the Assin Jakai Youth Association Annual festival and five children were fortunate to be selected to benefit from a package that would see them complete school with full funding from Nana Akufo Addo.
