Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akomea has described numerous publications by the The Al Hajj newspaper that the party�s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been "poisoned" as hilarious and fallacious. He explained that, the Managing Editor of the newspaper, Alhaji Bature is just trying to satisfy his paymasters with publications meant to tarnish the image of the distinguished politician, Nana Addo. Nana Akomea was reacting to The Al Hajj's Tuesday publication that �Dangerous power-play within the NPP, Akufo-Addo Poisoned�. The publication noted that, �the political future and health condition of the 2016 flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is taking a dramatic twist as latest information reaching The aL-hAJJ reveals that close associates of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo are suspecting he has been �poisoned�.� Adding; �Sources in United Kingdom, where Nana Akufo-Addo underwent medical review, have disclosed to this paper that though his doctors are attributing his health condition to advancing age, the NPP 2016 flagbearer�s handlers are said to be speculating among themselves that Nana Akufo Addo�s opponents within the party have succeeded in doing-him in, so as to pave the way for them to succeed him as the flagbearer of the main opposition party�. The Al Hajj sourced story believes that, some of his [Nana Addo�s] lieutenants are speculating he has been poisoned, whiles others think those seeking to thwart his effort of becoming president may have resorted to the use of black magic juju as his situation continue to be complicated and defying comprehension. But speaking on Adom FM, Nana Akomea emphasized that, Nana Addo is physically strong and ready to contest the presidency come 2016. He however urged all to treat such publications as unwise and explained that Nana Addo was in UK to visit his newly born granddaughter. Meanwhile, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his meeting with NPP enthusiasts in UK stated that, publications on his health matters will never deter him from visiting party supporters and his family in UK.
